In this set, the Makita 12V max lithium ion cordless 2-pc. The combo kit has both power and speed in a small, lightweight package. It’s a great addition to any tool box or tool belt. The CT226RX comes with cordless tools for drilling, driving, and fastening.

This Makita CXT set has good build quality, except for the sloppy chuck bushing. It is light, compact, and has a lot of power. LED lights don’t shine on any of the shorter bits because the chuck blocks them. thought it was interesting that in Makita’s ad video, when the drill was being used, the short bit used to screw in a wall switch was shown with the screw head being lit up. They had to use another light to make the screw head show up, which I think is a lie. I will keep my one-cell LED flashlight in my pocket for when I need it.

If you’ve used the drill driver for some cabinet making projects, you might be disappointed that the front bushing of the drill is very loose on both sides, and its chuck shaft moves a lot. 3/16ths of an inch from side to side is what we’re talking about with a 2″ drill bit. I think this is a quality control problem. WAY TOO MUCH SPACE IN THE FRONT DRIVER Shaft TO THE FRONT BUMPE. Thinking about going back, but man, that’s a lot of work. I don’t like this point and the LED light. I have to carry “in use bits” in my pocket because the tool doesn’t have a couple of bit clips for holding frequently used bits, like my Craftsman cordless. The build quality looks good.
