Description of the Produc.

Designed for drilling in confined or difficult-to-reach areas, the Makita 1/2 in. Angle Drill (model DA4000LR) is an excellent choice. With its 360-degree rotational capability, the angle attachment allows the drill to be used as a straight drill when not in use with the angle attachment. Because of the powerful 7.5 Amp motor and the quickswitch highspeed drill head, you can drill at speeds as low as 400 RPM or as high as 900 RPM. The drill is constructed entirely of ball bearings for increased tool life, and it has an ergonomic rubber handle for increased comfort and ease-of-use while drilling.

Awesome. My first right-angled drill was a success. I’ve used it successfully for nearly all of my drilling projects that are larger than a half inch in diameter. Even after several repetitive uses with a 7/8’s self feeding auger, it does not overheat. In the beginning, I was concerned about the lack of a clutch, because right-angled drills have the potential to bind and cause bodily harm. The pistol grip on this drill, on the other hand, helps to eliminate this problem, and I personally have not had a single issue with it. Additionally, it can be placed anywhere you desire. In comparison to other brands, the feature that allowed me to switch from an angled shaft and attaching the head back onto the drill was a big selling point for me. It works, but I haven’t had a reason to use or require this feature yet. At a price that is nearly the same as competitors, I’d prefer to have it and not use it..
