I chose this model because of the reviews here and because Amazon said it had variable speed. It’s not. if I had known that, I would not have bought this type of car. Another thing that annoys me a lot is that the guards are not included, and it’s hard to find them at all. It can fit 7″ and 9″ wheels, so I bought two guards that cost $83.00.
So, add $83.00 to the price of an already very pricey grinder. It was hard for me to think of a reason to buy this clearly better tool. You didn’t like having to buy the safety guards.
So even though I haven’t used the tool yet, because it’s dangerous without guards, I gave it five stars. This is built to last. And all of my other Makita tools are working well for me, too.
