The GRH02M1 has Active Feedback-Sensing Technology (AFT) and Anti-Vibration Technology (AVT) that make the machine less noisy. The AFT turns off the motor if the bit is suddenly forced to stop moving. There is more to AVT than just having a cushioned handle. AVT is an internal counterbalance that uses air pressure to move counterweight pistons in the opposite direction of the drive one to reduce vibration. In addition, the vibration-absorbing back handle and side handle help to reduce vibration even more, as well. Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) is designed to be more resistant to dust and water on the job site. This thing is big. This is how it worked: On one charge, I drilled 15-20 3/4″ holes in concrete 8″ deep. As a bonus, it took half the time my 18v Makita Rotary Hammer would have taken to do the same thing, too. It’ll be great if you love makita tools.
