The Makita battery-powered tools I have been using every day for the past eight years have become second nature to me. They have never let me down, not even once. Furthermore, their batteries are of excellent quality, having lasted me three years longer than any other battery I have owned. This compact Hammer drill has increased my productivity by making my job quicker and easier. After using it to drill masonary, I must say “way to go Makita!”.. 3/16, 1/4, and 1/2″ holes were no problem. The amount of torque this thing has is incredible. One battery charge will last all day with a new 3.0 battery. The chuck is also excellent, with the “Action mode” switch ring feature that allows you to switch from drill to hammer in “one click.” Set your torque on one dial and your drill/hammer/screw on the other. Many contractors, and at first myself included, prefer red battery-powered tools.. but when I pull out those Makita’s, they stop and take a closer look.. and they are very impressed.. by the time they use one for a minute, they realize the red one is not the best.. and they are right..
