More power comes from a 7.8 amp motor that can run at speeds between 180 and 790 RPM.

7/32/32 “(5.5mm) orbit diameter gives a smooth finish without any swirls.

The variable speed control dial (0 – 6, 800 OPM) is easy to reach and allows the operator to match the speed to the application.

When the motor is under a lot of stress, it automatically gets more power from the electronic controller to keep up with the load.

Soft start is a feature of an electronic controller that is meant to make it easier to start a car and to keep the gears in good shape for a long time.

Makita polishers are used by people who clean cars and boats, and the 5” Dual Action Random Orbit Polisher (PO5000C) has a lot of extra features that make it work the same way every time. The variable speed control dial has five speed settings so that users can set the speed and action to their needs. The dual action control can do “random orbit with forced rotation” or “random orbit with free rotation. Additional performance features include an electronic controller that automatically adds more power to keep the bike going at the same speed, even when it’s under a lot of strain. It also has a soft start for smoother starts and longer gear life. Because the Polisher is easier to use, it has a knob handle, a rubberized back handle with a lock-on switch, and a rubberized tool rest that can be used to hold the tool upside down. It is good for polishing things that need to be done for a living. PO5000CX2 is a kit that comes with all five parts “As well as a Dual Action Random Orbit Polisher (PO5000C), it comes with three foam pads and a tool bag, too.

A very good DA polisher that is very strong and well made. Makita power tools have worked well for me in the past, and this polisher is no exception. I use it on a fiberglass boat that is 24 feet long and has a fiberglass hul. You can use the “power rotation” to remove the oxidation from the fiberglass with no risk of burning the surface, like a rotary polisher can do. I’ve used both types of polishers on fiberglass and I think the DA with power rotation is better than a rotary polisher. As long as you don’t use the rotary polisher, it’s safe to use. It won’t burn the finish of the boat, which is why it’s better than the DA. In the case of an automobile finish, I would use the non-power rotary setting. For fiberglass, I use the power setting to cut through the oxidation. The price of this polisher isn’t cheap, but it’s a case of getting what you pay for. Buying good things is never a bad idea, and this polisher is made to last.
