This saw is very light and easy to use with one hand. Because the batteries are smaller, I thought they would work with my other Makita tools, but they don’t work with them. That was a let down. This saw has a very short stroke. You can’t get through small limbs with a pruning tool because the stroke is so short that it takes a long time. I bought it to use for pruning. A short stroke might not be enough to clear chips from the cut. When I was cutting, I had to use a sawing motion to get rid of the chips and keep the cut moving.
