In this case, the jury is still out on whether or not this is true. So, I bought this grinder because I already have Makita cordless drills, and the batteries that work with the grinder work with my drills, too. In this case, the wire brush wheel didn’t give the grinder enough power or run long enough. My old batteries may be the reason why I can’t use my grinder. It could also be the way the grinder is. DeWalt cordless grinders looked better in videos I saw before I bought this. They seemed to run better and last longer than this grinder does, but I didn’t buy it. With a new battery, I’ll see if that makes it work better. If so, I’ll buy another one. If not, I’ll look somewhere else. You should try it out at a store where you can compare it to a DeWalt before you buy. I didn’t want to have to start over with a new battery system, but I don’t like how this one is running, either.
