As an experiment, I took a piece of mild steel that was 3/8″ thick and looked at it. In the end, it made a 3″ long cut faster than a cutting wheel could have done. I took it slow.
I would also use it to cut conduit, but there isn’t enough to see to see if you hit the mark. Uni strut is the best choice for it.
I used it to do some work. I cut off 20 pieces of conduit in a row about as quickly as I could push it through.
It’s not the best thing for everything, but it’s good at what it’s made for.
