Take this tool with you when you work on your ATV to make it easier and faster to work on it. There are a lot of lugnuts to deal with when changing out the wheels and tires, so I mostly use this to do that. I also use it to do other things on the ATV because it’s so small. Using an air-powered impact wrench to tighten the lug nuts was not a problem for this wrench. It can break them free with ease. Spins them off without a hitch. I usually use it on the fastest setting because I don’t need to tighten things that are shorter or more delicate. When I wanted to be more precise, I turned it down a little bit. I was able to tighten all of the lugs on my ATV’s aftermarket wheels evenly because they are lug centric and not hub centric like the factory wheels, so I had to be careful while tightening them on.

Also, this has a setting that tells when the fastener is free, and it stops the wrench when it does. When you’re working with nuts on a short stud, or smaller fasteners and things like that, this might be very useful. I haven’t used it at all. I want all of the nuts or screws I’ve been taking off to fall right into my hand. Still, having the feature doesn’t bother me. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to, and it’s nice to have in case you need it. I’m sure that one day soon, it will come in very handy and stop me from sending a nut flying across the garage floor.

There’s a lot of battery life, which is good. You can’t charge one of your 4.0 Ah LXT batteries because they’re half dead. I put one of them in and haven’t had to do that yet. Still a lot of power. Mind you, I don’t use this thing every day. I use it once a week or so, for a long time, and it’s been a few months. The thing doesn’t use up a lot of electricity. A lot of people think it’s safe.

This is a good idea. As long as you don’t need a lot of torque in order to get huge nuts off of heavy construction equipment that’s been stuck there for a long time, you’ll be fine with this. It would be easy to do things like work on an ATV, remove or install the wheels on a car or truck, and so on. They have enough power to do the jobs. The only time I think you’ll want more torque is if you have a huge, rusted 1 car “It’s a nut or bolt that’s been stuck for a long time. It’s been outside in the weather and through the seasons. If you need help with anything else, this Makita will be there for you. There are a lot of things that help you get it to where you need to use it, like not having it be a huge, honking monster.
