My situation: In 2000, I was involved in a car accident that severely injured my right ankle. Because my job requires me to sit in front of a computer all day, I am constantly battling edema (fluid) buildup. Because of this, I require compression socks.
“Casual” JOB STATU. 20-30 mmHg – 1st Choice – Effectively works. Extremely long-lasting. I like the look and feel of the vertical lines.
20-30 mmHg JOBST “Relief” 2nd Choice – Worked perfectly well. Extremely long-lasting. The solid/flat look/style does not appeal to me.
It was too tight (the 30-40 mmHg were too tight).
The only complaint I have is that I wear a size 13 shoe and have a 32 inch inseam. Due to the fact that these socks are approximately 2-3 inches too long, they bunch up below my knee. This can become annoyance and discomfort at times, so avoid it if possible. This is true of nearly every “knee length” compression sock I’ve ever purchased, to be honest with you.
The Good Stuff: I’ve experimented with a variety of different manufacturers, styles, and levels of compression. JOBST compression socks are by far the most durable and versatile compression socks that I have come across. I wear them to work as well as when I’m working out.
