For the record, I’m a big fan of Makita. I have two Makita impact drivers, and I also have a Milwaukee M12 impact that I can use. There are some things I know about this driver. A quick review: This tool is just amazing, and I love it. This tool is great. I’ve used a few Metabo tools, and this one is the best one I’ve used.
It is very small and very light. There are some differences in size between this and my Makita sub compact. It’s a little bigger on top. But is it. 5 pounds lighter than my sub-compact car, which weighs the same. That was a surprise. They are so much better than the old tools, which were heavy and bulky. You don’t need to be big to be powerful.
It drives screws very quickly. I mean, really quickly. That might be because of the triple hammer. My favorite thing about it is how quickly and easily it sinks screws. I don’t know what else to say about it. Was able to sink the 2-1/2″ construction screws into everything I tried. This is what I usually use to test things. Think you’d have trouble stopping this thing.
There are only a few small batteries that come with it. You get two, so you can always have one on a charger. It comes with a real charger and a charger that is really real. You can’t plug this in. This is a tool for grown-ups. Besides the canvas bag, there is also a canvas bag that is very durable and well made.
Another thing to keep in mind is that because this is a well-known brand, you won’t have a hard time getting extra or new batteries. A little bit important.
