A lot of duplex nails have been hammered into the ground by me over the last 28 years. This gun has really changed the game when it comes to setting form. It really speeds things up and does it quickly. The gun always drives the nails in the right place. To give my elbow a break I’ll take the extra weight. It’s a little heavy. Because we have some other Metabo tools that use multivolt batteries, there is always a full battery ready to go. The battery life is good. The gun is made to withstand the kind of abuse that tools get in that kind of environment, so it can last. I haven’t had any jambs or misfires so far. We use the Metabo collated nails, which cost about a nickel each for a 16d dup. This sounds expensive, but by my math, it isn’t much more expensive than hand bangers.
