MULTIVOLT: This tool can be operated with either a 36 Volt battery or an alternating current power cord.
Brushless motor technology provides longer runtime, higher power output, and greater durability than conventional motors.
SWITCH: A paddle switch that, when depressed, turns off the tool for added safety and convenience.
VARIABLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT: Variable speed dial with auto mode produces 3,000 to 9,500 RPM (1-5) and 5,500 to 9,500 RPM (A) to allow you to easily adjust the speed that is most appropriate for the application.
GRIP: A slim grip circumference reduces fatigue and improves control, which is especially important in applications that require continuous use.
SIDE HANDLE: This side handle is designed to absorb vibrations.
FEATURES FOR SAFETY. Brake, soft start, 0-voltage restart, anti-kickback, and over current protection are some of the features.
Metabo HPT introduces the world’s first cordless-corded solution that can meet the high power output demands of a construction site in a compact package. MultiVolt tools combine the power of a corded tool with the mobility of a cordless platform, as well as the option to operate all MultiVolt tools with a battery or by plugging them into an electrical outlet. Metabo HPT batteries are made up of 21700 cells that produce 1,440+ watts of power, which is comparable to that of 120V-15amp corded power tools. This results in increased power and approximately 46 percent more capacity. With a Metabo HPT 36 V platform, the battery provides 4 Ah of runtime and with a Hitachi-Metabo HPT 18V platform, the battery provides 8 Ah of runtime. You can choose whether to use a cordless or a corded device.
This design is preferable to my Dewlt in terms of aesthetics. The variable speed feature is convenient, and the device feels great in my hand.
