I use a guide bar for all of my cuts. I guess the egg heads at Metabo/Hitachi thought it would be better and cheaper to give a bag instead of a dust port. Too bad, and that’s why I cut off a star from my rating because it was bad.
All in all, this saw does a lot better than other cheap saws, and the $80 I paid makes it a good deal. Definitely worth it.
