So I purchased this and was extremely pleased with it for a period of time. When I was cutting oak trim, a piece of the wood became stuck between the fence and the blade. As a result, the fence was severely damaged (bent), with a section of it broken off. When I took the fence down, I was surprised by how flimsy it was in the first place. Due to Metabo’s failure to stand behind their product, I was forced to purchase a replacement fence for $40. If the part was reasonably priced for what it is, I would be fine with it; however, a light duty fence should not cost a third of the total purchase price to construct.
