I bought this to put down 5/8 plywood underlayment before I put down linoleum flooring. I thought it was unlikely that it would be able to go through material that thick, since narrow crown staples are usually used to hold down 1/4 underlayment.
My good news is that this worked great and I think it could’ve shot through inches of plywood without much trouble. It took me no time at all to cut through 1500 staples in pressure firing mode. There was not a single misfire, and I only had to countersink one staple out of all of them. It was a very impressive performance.
