CCHPRODUCTS was the vendor Amazon chose for this product. The description says “bulk packaging. There should have been some kind of container or bag for the item. Nope. The item was sent in a generic plastic mailing envelope with a loose manual and a single phillips head bit, as well as the manual.
As part of my order from Amazon, they put this envelope into a box along with the rest. Amazon needs to work on how they pack things. The box didn’t have enough filler materials to keep this thing from moving around. Amazon, thank you.
This is what I did with the tool. First, I put a battery into it, and then used it to drive about 6 small screws. The tool worked as planned. It’s going well so far. Then I took out the battery. I saw a shiny piece of metal sticking out between the two parts of the tool at the bottom of the battery port when I did that. This isn’t clear.
The shiny piece of metal was meant to keep the two parts of the tool together near the bottom. The clip had been bent, warped. I think this tool is a refurb or a return, and that someone either put the clip in the wrong way, or used a clip that had been damaged and used it again. This caused the battery to be caught when it was removed.
I bent the clip back into shape so it could do its job, and I tried putting and taking batteries in and out of it. There are no more problems, and it looks like everything is fine.
