This is an excellent tool. When I was using it, I felt like a kid in a candy store. There is a tremendous amount of power in this tool. When I was cutting 2×6 wood with the tool, I didn’t notice any vibration at all. It sliced through the wood like a butter knife through a block of cheese. With this tool, cutting a straight line was a piece of cake, and the LED light ensured that the line was always visible. The saw dust from the cut also went somewhere, I’m not sure where, but it didn’t end up in front of the tool, which also contributed to the line remaining visible throughout the cut.
I also used it to cut privacy lattice for a deck, which was very useful. One of my cuts went through every single staple on the lattice, and the blade simply cut right through the staples with no resistance. This jig saw takes the place of a Black and Decker model that I previously had. The difference between the two tools is like night and day. I’ve actually started replacing all of my tools with Milwaukee brand tools because I’ve come to realize that Milwaukee is an outstanding brand. Personally, I would recommend that you try the brand out for yourself because the slightly higher price they charge is well worth it!.
Oh, and I also purchased a 5-pack of Milwaukee t-shank blades (49-22-1178) to use with the tool, because I am a firm believer in Milwaukee products.
