This device is incredible. Working without the use of power cords increases the efficiency of the job. I haven’t been gentle with this saw in the least. I’ve done a lot of framing, including an entire house built entirely of exterior hardy planks. It’s a beast of a job. I haven’t dropped it.. yet.. but I’m confident that it can withstand a couple of hand height falls and still be functional. I didn’t purchase this item in order to take care of it. I purchased it in order to make more money. So far, I’m pleased with it, and I hope it will serve me well for a long time. Milwaukee is well-known for their battery life, and with this much power in a skill saw, you can get a lot done on a single charge. Milwaukee is also known for their reliability. Using this for approximately 8 working hours (not continuously, obviously), it would last for approximately 2 1/2 days. It can be recharged in approximately one hour, which is incredible. I will say that the high-capacity battery is extremely large and heavy. It’s a lot bigger than I anticipated. I’m accustomed to it now, but take note. It’s enormous.
My praises for this saw were focused on the fact that it had a place to store the allen wrench for quick blade changes (and this gets to my only complaint). Somehow, the wrench has become unattached from the slot. What gives. When this happened, I’d only had the saw for about a week. It is not a major problem, but it is a source of irritation. This is something I would replace the saw with over something like this, and I just wish it worked as it was supposed to.
