This looks a lot like a lot of other pen-style electric micro screwdrivers, but it has one very important feature that makes it different. The torque dial. I just bought this to replace one of those other electric screwdrivers, and when I saw that it had a torque dial and couldn’t find any other screwdrivers of the same size with this feature, I knew I had to have it. It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed. Because you set the dial right, it can drive small screws like m2.5 and m3 very quickly. If you don’t set the dial right and it doesn’t strip or break off the heads, it will stop right where you want it to. In order to work faster, it’s important to know that you won’t damage threads by over-torquing them, especially if the threads are small and they belong to something valuable.

As for other things, I like the shape because it’s well-balanced and easy to move. I keep a magnetic USB adapter on the back, so I can spin it around in my hand and get a screw I just removed, or keep screws close at hand while I’m installing them. It’s like spinning a pen. Feels like this is more of a power tool than a gadget. The drive is strong.

The only thing I don’t like about this screwdriver is that it doesn’t have LEDs on the front like many other screwdrivers. For me, that’s not a big deal because my workspace is well-lit, but it’s still something to be aware of. Also, the buttons might be a little too far back for my taste, though. This is just a personal preference for how I hold an electric screwdriver and where I like the buttons to be. It’s still very easy to use and this is just my way of doing things. In the end, the torque setting adjustment ring does feel a little cheap to me. Plastic-on-plastic feels rough, and it doesn’t click on any of the markings when it turns, which isn’t good. Because the dial is so cheap, I wouldn’t try to change it while I was using this. It feels like the first thing that will break if it’s used too much. That doesn’t make sense. It’s not the drive that makes it feel solid. That could definitely be better.

Overall, this is a great device.
