How to make a connection.

To use them, simply insert the small aviation plug into the spindle and screw the large aviation plug into it. The large aviation plug will have a marked number (1.2.3.4) on the top, and pin 1 will connect to terminal U on the vfd. The package contains two aviation plugs. Pin 2 is connected to the vfd’s terminal V. Pin 3 is connected to the vfd’s terminal W. Pin 4 serves as a ground/common connection.

So far, everything is going well.

Motor. The Huanyang motor appears to be well-made and well-machined, especially considering its low price. Check to see that your machine is capable of supporting the load. They even balanced the ER-20 nut on my motor, which was a first for me. The water cooling system appears to be effective enough to keep the motor’s temperature just above ambient. Inspect your water supply to ensure it is adequate, and consider purchasing a cooler rig. Huanyang still does not connect the ground terminals inside the case, which is unsafe. As a result, it is either necessary to ground the motor externally using the screw for the plug, which will open the motor and void your warranty, or it is necessary to run the motor ungrounded, which is also unsafe. In this case, the 4-pin plug on the motor is an afterthought. It is intended for the motor to have shielded wire, though even 14GA unshielded wire is a tight fit through the strain-relief, and because the wires must be kept short, heat-shrink tubing is difficult to use on this application. It’s time to rethink the plug. Despite the fact that the motor appears to be of high quality.

VFD: This is the same Huanyang VFD that you may have seen in other places. It’s functional, to be honest. Due to the fact that the back of the case is not flat, it was necessary to place it on washers. One of the benefits of ordering from MySweety is that they ship an official Huanyang bound manual, which is preferable to the photocopies that some vendors provide. Despite this, the Huanyang manual is poorly written, frequently not making it clear enough whether they are talking about: line frequency, PWM frequency, motor frequency, and so many people have their motor settings set incorrectly. The problem with this is that it is entirely possible to burn everything out by making a mistake with the settings.

I would prefer tactile buttons on the VFD rather than membrane buttons on the VFD. The terminal strips are too small for the purpose for which they are intended. The fan is small and makes a lot of noise. A 120mm fan would have been a better option in this situation. In order for your installation to be successful, it must have plenty of air circulation space. The VFD has the capability of reporting either frequency, speed, or current, which is convenient. The current readout is useful because it gives you an indication of how hard the motor/VFD is working at any given moment.

Clamp: This is an overkill. After further investigation, it appears that after it is cast, it is machined on the critical surfaces before being media-blasted with grit that is so coarse that it almost necessitates re-machining. The middle bolt is responsible for opening and spreading the clamp.

Collets supplied: a good selection, but even though I intend to use mostly metric measurements, I would prefer a 1/4-inch collet rather than a 1mm.

Hose: The hose that was provided was too stiff and short for my purposes. My 900mm (3′) x 1200mm (3.5′) x 120mm rig required 12 (40′) meters of hose to accommodate the dimensions of the rig.

Every fitting, with the exception of the right one, was included.

Pump: It does its job, but it is not grounded. The cord itself is extremely thin, but so far everything has worked out fine.

Brush roll: For woodworkers, this is a fantastic inclusion: a length of brush that can be attached to a dust collection hose or shop vacuum hose to collect dust and debris.

A baffling inclusion, as a carbide end mill would have made more sense in place of the numerous and pointy bits. However, because the bits are still quite small, they might be suitable for some light engraving purposes. I also don’t see how these could be used for circuit boards in the first place. I don’t understand what you’re saying.

In order to connect this, we will need a motor specification sheet, which is not included. It was necessary for me to inquire with the seller. Additionally, a bare-minimum list of VFD test parameters to get you started would save a lot of people a lot of time and aggravation.
