I purchased a belt from West Coast resales for the purpose of height adjustment on my Delta 31-255x drum sander because it appeared to be a good deal. All of this comes after months of berating Delta for the (lack of robustness in their design). I was very pleased with the timing of the availability and the ease with which the purchase process was completed. The new belt was delivered on time and is a perfect fit. In addition, it appears as though the tool was not designed with service repairs in mind by the engineers.. The good news is that, with the new belt in place, the sander/tool height adjuster operates without slippage for the first time in months.. Perhaps I should have concentrated more on possible solutions rather than on my frustration at not being able to use the sander I used to enjoy.
