With a larger 12″ x 24″-table, the SHARK SD120 CNC Machine can handle larger projects such as carving plaques or signs, ornamental boxes, and precision parts made of wood, soft metals, or plastics, among other things. The SHARK SD120 CNC machine can be controlled using either the included touchscreen pendant or a computer connected to the network. Creating a project with the included VCarve design software and transferring it to a USB drive is required before using the pendant. After that, the USB cable is connected to the pendant. In order to complete more challenging projects and to gain greater versatility, connect your computer to the SHARK SD120 via the USB cord and operate your CNC machine using the Ready2Control software. The product was intended to be used for recreational purposes, specifically for carving wood designs. When it was purchased at the end of September, it came with a free software program that included Vectric for Vcarve that was valid for three years. We had no idea until I made my initial inquiry that the software had been developed in England and that I would have to communicate with them in order to learn how to use the program. Since then, I’ve experienced a slew of software issues, and unfortunately, the next wave technicians (despite their best efforts to assist us) were unable to provide us with any solutions. Another issue has arisen since Vectric upgraded their software program to V11, which has caused me considerable frustration. In addition, the time difference makes it even more difficult to communicate. We have to wait for an answer sometimes for a day or even longer. Only one item has been carved since the purchase, and that was only because of the assistance of a you tuber who was kind enough to share his knowledge. I’ve been working with wood for more than 30 years and have never had any issues like this. I am completely disgusted and frustrated with this machine to the point where I want to get rid of it. What can you do to be of assistance to me. The first time I have been so dissatisfied with an Amazon purchase was years ago when I made a large number of them. For several weeks, I was unable to register or obtain a license for the software until the upgrade to V11 was completed.
