All NOVA lathes can use this toolbox. It’s also good for all lathes with a 1′′ Toolbox fitting (except the NOVA Comet II Midi Lathe). For long-term use, it is made of solid cast iron and has special ribs to make it more rigid. The 1′′ shank is strong enough to turn on. It’s small size makes it perfect for small projects.
I was told not to buy this item by other people, but I did anyway. This is a poor product that can’t even be used right out of the box. The quality of the casting is a lot lower than the quality of the real NOVA tool rest I have. The rest of the surface is covered in thick paint, except for the crudely-made mounting post. Clean and smooth the edge took half an hour of sanding and filing to do. The lathe tool would not get stuck on the rough surface. In the past, a previous buyer said that the post broke. I’m hoping that won’t happen this time.
