I bought this to put in new hardwood flooring in one half of an apartment that is just about 500 square feet in size. This nailer was able to install about 500 square feet of 3/4″ x 3 1/4” Red Oak hardwood right out of the box with no problems. The staples I used for this task were made by Bostitch, and there were no misfires, jams, or other issues with them. My little compressor was set to a pressure of 75psi at all times to guarantee that I would have no problems driving staples into the wood, and with a hard swing of the provided hammer, it worked flawlessly every time.
