The NuMax SFL618 Pneumatic 3-in-1 15.5-Gauge and 16-Gauge Flooring Stapler and Nailer is made for installing tongue and groove hardwood flooring. It can also be used to staple and nail. All three types of fasteners are compatible with this air-powered flooring nail gun and stapler. It can use 16 gauge T-cleats and L-cleats, as well as 15.5 gauge 1/2″ crown staples, from 1-1/2″ to 2″ for all three. Two interchangeable no-mar base plates let you install flooring from 1/2″ to 3/4″ thick while protecting finished floors. This means that both DIYers and construction contractors can get professional results from their home improvement and repair projects. Durable: This tool is made of die cast aluminum and steel parts that have been heat treated. It’s both strong and light. The handle has a rubber grip, which makes it easier to use during long shifts. It has a smaller body, a semi-quick release for easier access to the drive blade, a magazine cover for smooth fastener feeding, and a better base plate. The value of this innovative tool comes at a much lower cost than three separate tools. Among the things that come with the Pneumatic 3-in-1 15.5-gauge and 16-gauge Flooring Stapler and Nailer are a long-reach fiberglass mallet with a padded grip and air tool oil, as well as tools for making adjustments.

One star so you can read this review (I only read the worst reviews myself – I want to know what problems people are having, not praises).

It’s a good idea to buy this tool. A great price, a solid feel, and nails that stay in place. A good solid WHACK not only sinks the nail, but it also closes any gaps you didn’t close with the hammer, making the planks stick together better.

However, be ready to put four 0.06″ washers under the 3/4″ plastic foot to make it level with 3/4″ hardwood. It’s very simple. It would be 0.05″ apart and the 3/4-inch foot wouldn’t be flush. To make sure the nailer is on the tongue of the plank correctly, you have to “HOP” it up on top of the tongue. I’ve done a lot of work with solid 3/4″ hardwood flooring.

I haven’t tried the 5/8″ / 9/16″ foot, so I can’t say what to do with it.
