Before I could use it, I had to flash it first. It was delivered with Mach3 pre-installed. However, after that, it worked flawlessly with UCCNC. It’s so much easier to enter my machine’s code now. Each incremental movement of the main knob is accompanied by a satisfying click/detent. In fact, every input device on this machine is comfortable to use. The detents on the push switch, small knobs, and main knob are all quite strong. Because it has a substantial amount of weight, the device is comfortable to hold in the hand. It’s not like those flimsy TV remotes that MPGs are known for. To figure out what all of the icons were for, I had to consult the manual because they are not particularly intuitive. When I’m not in front of my laptop and I’m walking around the machine to see how it’s doing, having the ability to bump up the feeds/go to zero/zero all/start/stop cycle is extremely convenient.
Although it is expensive, I believe that this is a niche product with good build quality. With the exception of the price, I have no complaints.
