I have to say that I was not happy with these nibblers. I bought them to use with hardie siding that is 5/16 of an inch. Planks are cut, but not as cleanly as if they scored and snapped the planks, I think. In general, they make a mess with the waste from cutting. Straight lines aren’t easy to get. In the end, I didn’t like them. Because I didn’t even have that kind of work space, I don’t think it would work. If you want to know what’s different between these two models, I’d like to ask them. Because the 704 is made in China, I wanted to know where the 724 was made as well. In both emails and phone calls, I didn’t hear back from the company. These people are going back.
