My old battery-powered drill was about to die, so I bought this one. I only wish I had changed the old one sooner. There is no way to compare. I guess battery-powered tool design has come a long way in the last 20 years. LO. This tool has a lot of torque, which can make you snap your wrist if you don’t expect it. I was drilling some half-inch holes in one-eighth inch mild steel. If the drill bit gets stuck in the hole, it really kicks. In this case, drilling 8 of these holes didn’t make much of a dent in the battery’s power. I thought it was great.
