Because we just bought a new house, I knew these tools would be used. Portal Cable is an off brand of big brother Dewalt, still quality tools but a bit cheaper for those of us that are not rolling in the dough.
After I bought this pack, I set out right away to try out all of the tools in it. All worked perfectly and there were no problems found. One thing I don’t like about the sawzall and skillsaw is that they drain the batteries way too quickly. For a big project, like building a deck, make sure you have extra batteries and a charger on hand so you can keep them going. Update (2-3 years later): I found my old review and thought I’d give you a quick update on how things have changed. In this kit, every tool is in good shape. They get used every week to fix things around the house. We also have a lot of power left in our batteries as well. Definitely worth it.
