The PORTER-CABLE PCE341 Variable Speed Orbital Action Jigsaw has a 4.5 amp motor that can do a lot of work. In this case, you don’t need a key to change the blade. This makes blade changes quick and easy (no wrench required for blade change). This jigsaw has a two-setting orbital action that makes it easy to cut through wood quickly. It also has bevel adjustment detents at 0 and 45 degrees. During a cut, an on-board air blower lets the person cutting see the cut line. It also has a switch lock-on button that makes it easier to control when cutting for a long time. 3100 SPM, or spee. PCE341 jigsaw and a non-marring shoe are included.
I’ve had a few jig saws in my time, but none of them compare to this one. I was amazed at how clean this thing cut and how sharp an angle I could get with this tool. To start, I made about a dozen 3″-round holes. I thought I’d have to sand a lot and make a lot of cuts to get everything out. Not at all. I thought it was like butter. It also has a built-in air conditioner. I can’t figure out how I’ve lived without that little thing. When I used to have to clean my material so I could see a guide line, I used to huff and puff about it. This saw does that for me. This is a good thing, because now I can wear my respirator, which is great. Even this saw is strong and stable. If all of Porter Cable’s tools are as good as this one, I might become a long-term customer.
