This router isn’t very good. Ordered it because it had a lot of good reviews for the job I wanted to do with it, which was some aluminum milling. When I set the depth and locked my router, I found that it doesn’t work at all. It will work for the first part of a cut, but after that, the depth and lock don’t work at all. This caused two of my projects, which had some semi-close tolerances, to be destroyed. Both times, the cut has started out well, but about halfway through, it starts to fall apart and the bit plunges into the project. Make sure your cuts aren’t too deep so you can learn from the first time. The second time around, it did the same thing. Instead of having a pocket, I now have a hole, which doesn’t make my project useless but it’s still cut the same way it should. You might not get the pocket you want if you use this with a 5D. There are no better instructions on how to set the depth and lock it, but mine doesn’t seem to stay in place.
