For $7, you can get this table top from Porter Cable, which is called PCE980. You can cut porcelain, ceramic, and stone tiles with the Wet Tile Saw because it has a powerful 1.0 Horsepower motor that makes the cutting easy. Carriage made of cast-metal can cut 12 in. x 12 in. tile on a diagonal with 17 in. of cutting space. In order to get a level of precision of 1/16 in., you need to measure things ver. Cutting up to 12 inches long. The Pce980 comes with a Pce980 7 in. Wet tile saw, a 7 in. Porcelain tile blade, a miter square, a blade wrench, and more.
I just got the saw and I’ve checked to see if there are any problems with it.
No doubt about it, the stationary table is lower than the moving table. Another thing: It’s also lower in the middle than it is on the sides. I fixed this by taking off the Stainless Steel top plate and then the plastic cover that was under it to fix it. When I used #6 flat washers, I shimmed up the plastic plate. One washer goes on the edge holes, and two go on the center holes. This is how it works. A little bit of grease is used to keep the washers in place while you do this. The stationary table has been put back together. It is now level or close to level with the moving table.
The blade was not level with the table. This can be changed because the inside rail has slots in it. Getting this right takes a lot of time. It can be done, though. Use a good carpenter square to make sure the tile stop is level with the blade.
My blade was very straight. With no signs of wobble. Some people said they had problems with wobble.
Unless you do these things, you will not be happy with this saw and will need to make changes if needed.

I can’t wait to use this. When I make these changes, I think this tile saw will do very well. Better built than other small saws I have had.
