It is superior to standard filter bags in that it captures up to 86 percent of 1 micron particles and 98 percent of 2 micron particles, which is significantly higher than standard filter bags. Occasionally rotating the handle will clean the pleated filter, dislodging residual dust into the collection bag and allowing it to be cleaned again. Hand knobs allow for more rapid installation and removal of the device.
Despite the fact that this canister unit worked perfectly with my Delta 30 micron bag unit, there has been a noticeable reduction in the super fine dust floating around the shop. I am not convinced, however, about the long-term dependability of plastic collection bags.
