It’s my first time using a nail gun, so I can’t speak from personal experience. The case is just that: a case, but it doesn’t sit well with me. The trigger, or double trigger, or whatever you want to call it, fired out two nails, like three times, and once it fired three. Maybe it was my fault for the two nails, but I’m pretty sure shooting out three isn’t even an option. According to the instructions, you can now adjust the depth to which you sink the nail. Because I’m working with 2 by 4s, I was planning on using that option to drive the nails as deeply as possible into the wood. All I could find were 2 & 3/8th inch nails, followed by 3 inch nails. Well, the 2 3/8 would be close, and I figured that if I sunk them below the surface even an eighth of an inch, I’d be fine with that. I would have liked to have been able to sink them a quarter inch deeper, but in any case, you sink the nails more or less by the air regulator on your air compressor. Instead of calling it a capability, I’d call it almost a matter of common sense. Anyway, I couldn’t even get the head of the nail to go below the surface of the surface and had to hammer the head of half of the nails I used in order to get the head to go below the surface. I’m using treated wood that’s more hard than soft in some places. It’s about as dripping wet as you’d anticipate. I’m not completely taken aback by this at this point. In this price range, there are only a few options to choose from. Was a different option preferable or worse. That’s something I won’t know until I buy another one, which I doubt will happen in my lifetime. This will enable me to complete my project. Oh, and the nails that wouldn’t sink were three inches in length. She prefers the numbers 2 and 3/8 better. Make sure the head is nearly flush with the rest of the body. But they were never sunk. And I was under the impression that it came with nails, but I may have misread that. Update: I’ve now used this gun to drive approximately 500 nails. If you kind of push the pointer part of the nail gun into the object through which you’re shooting the nail, she’ll sink the 3 inch nails for you. I’m starting to like the gun a lot.
