The first thing I noticed was that the latch that tightens the guard made contact with the housing of my Dewalt 15 amp 7in drill. As a result, a nut and bolt were used. Second, there are gaps between the spacer and the mounting for the grinder. I used some gorilla tape from the inside to help reduce the dust. It worked really well. I connected this dust shroud to a cyclone mounted on a five-gallon bucked that was powered by a professional shop vac to collect dust. Although it did not completely eliminate the dust produced by the grinding of thin set, it did reduce it by 90 percent. Update. The front of the shroud opens easily, and I had to duct tape it shut to keep it from opening again. Overall, after seven hours of use, the dust collector is still performing admirably. Update 2, October 20: After more than 60 hours of use, this shroud is still in good condition. The only thing I can see is that the brushes are beginning to show signs of wear. It is impossible to beat the price.
