I work as a builder and remodeler, and I use these types of tools on a daily basis. As a result of the failure of my previous, extremely loud compressor, I needed a new compressor that could run two framing or roofing guns, which required more power than the other two smaller trim compressors I had. Before making my purchase, I conducted extensive research, which included but was not limited to manufacturer websites, YouTube videos, and Amazon postings and reviews. It goes without saying that I am extremely pleased and satisfied with my purchase.

Clients shouldn’t be scared out of their minds when a loud compressor starts up, and I try to avoid doing so. Furthermore, the neighbors would be unaffected by the operation of this compressor. Despite the fact that my wife has excellent hearing, she was completely unaware that I had turned on this compressor for the first time to do the break-in run.

A word of caution regarding damaged deliveries. My compressor was in perfect working order when it arrived. It was shipped in a heavy-duty cardboard shipping box. With the compressor unpacked, I assembled it with the muffler and oil in place, then turned it on for a half-hour to an hour to break it in before heading back to my job around the corner. Because it was so quiet, I almost forgot it was running at all. Although I had some reservations about the damaged delivery issue, my package was in perfect condition when it arrived in the mail. The only thing that comes to mind that could be to blame for any negative experiences is extreme carelessness or abusive handling on the part of the shipper. It is important to remember that, although this compressor is lightweight and portable once out of the box, it weighs 80 pounds when in the box, and that the shipper does not benefit from the ease of transport provided by the wheels. I can’t hold it against Rolair for not doing a good job of packing it. The packaging is extremely durable, and as long as reasonable precautions are taken by those who handle it, no damage should occur to it.
The bottom line is that this is the best compressor I’ve ever owned!
