The motorized drill/driver is a must-have item in any toolbox. The drill / driver can be used by anyone from a do-it-yourselfer to a professional contractor. It’s more useful than almost any other power tool on the market. Ryobi’s P215 is one of these drill drivers, which are made for people who do a lot of work at home. It’s a good value for the money. The battery and charger are sold separately. If you have a flashlight that has been around for 10 years and a battery charger station that has been around for 5 years, this item is a bonus because it fits both of them. It was soon after I moved into my house that I bought the kit that had a drill, a table saw, and a jig saw.
3-stars are because of how it was shipped. It came with a folded piece of thin cardboard taped to one side of it in a very thin envelope. Not how I would send a $34 tool out. When something is “refreshed,” it might be the reason why. But I didn’t like how it looked when it came. I had to keep it because I needed it and didn’t want to return it.
It works for now, but it’s an older model with a twist off tip that you use to put and take bits out of the machine. This model will eventually stop moving because it won’t be able to unscrew to get the bit out, and that’s why I had to buy a new drill. There is a good chance that this newer version of this well-made drill will only last about half as long as the older one I had. I just think that more information about this well-made drill would have helped me choose the newer version.
