This Ryobi 8-volt drill/driver is great for a lot of different things around the house. With its small size, the HP108L is likely to be used for everything from hanging pictures to putting up furniture or fixing appliances. Size lets you carry it all over your house and work until the battery dies without getting tired of your arms. During non-use, you don’t have to worry about losing the battery. It has an 8 Volt battery inside, so you don’t have to worry about it getting lost. While it doesn’t have as much power as its 12 or 18 volt counterparts, you can still use Ryobi’s high power. At 580 RPM, the motor can turn the double-sided bit that comes with the tool. That’s great for driving screws without hurting them or your bits, and it’s easy to use. The rubber overmold has a unique, notched texture that gives you the best control and comfort while you play. Keep your hands on this when the ground is slippery. Also, the LED fuel gauge will help you figure out how long it will take. The basement is where you work. The gauge lights up in the dark, as well as the LED light below the chuck. To get the job done right, you need to look at your drilling subject in a variety of lighting situations. With this light, you can do that comfortably. It makes sense that Ryobi makes this drill because it has a lot of power and a lot of different features.
TL;DR: This drill is worth the money. Good for small jobs.
Bought this drill to go with my Rigid 12v. I usually have two drills: one for screws and other heavy-duty jobs, and one for pre-drilling pilot holes or screwing in 1 inch Phillips screws. I usually have two drills. My last one was a big, cheap 18v. A good drill, but I’d rather have one that isn’t so big. There is now a drill.
The first thing to look at is how well it was built. :-. Great. Great. It’s strong. It feels like a high-end drill.
The battery is made up of two LG 18650’s that are good. It doesn’t have heat sinking on the parts of the machine that might need it. This is a light duty 8v drill, so things shouldn’t get very hot. They’re also near the fan. Everything in this drill looked a little over-built, which is great.
It’s a light and compact drill, as you’d expect, with a good chuck. In softwood, it can put 3 inch screws, which is what you’d expect from a small drill with 8 volts. It’s not really meant for heavy-duty work. Make sure you get a 12v compact drill when you need to do something more heavy, though.
There is only one thing I don’t like about this. The battery is good, but the battery life is short and it takes a long time to charge. As soon as it dies, you’ll be done for the day. If it’s a big project, you won’t be able to finish it until it dies.
For the price and specs, this drill is great. It’s good for people who need a power tool around the house or a cheap, small drill for light-duty jobs (s).
