For the 3018-Pro CNC, I bought this. A 2-pin Dupont connector was the only way I could connect it to my board. I had some on hand, so I did not have to buy more. I think it would be nice if the listing said what kind of connector came with it. With the Dupont connector, it connects to the A5 pins on most control boards, which is where the Dupont plug goes.

The probe plate itself is enough weight to stay down and in place on its own. When you try to open the alligator clip, its jacket can make it fall out of your hands. It works well with my bits, though. It can be used up to 1/4.

In the main, these don’t seem to be made very well. The thickness is listed as 0.79 inches, which is a weird number. That would be about 20mm, but when I measured it with calipers, it came out to about 0.54″. (13.65mm). In general, the probe’s surface is a little different than it should be.

Check to see if you have a set of calipers before you buy this. You’ll need them to figure out the thickness of your probe plate.
