I don’t understand how that can be “normal. Your work is on the lip. I just checked a Dremel scroll saw. It’s the same for DeWalt and Craftsman, as well. My guess is that I need to add your emails to the product review on Amazon. It looks like your picture of the RK7315 on Amazon has a smooth surface. Your answer to the problem is completely wrong.
