The saw was the primary reason for purchasing the kit. I wanted a small battery-powered saw that I could keep in the truck and use to break down plywood or rough cut 2x boards when the situation called for it. Even with the original blade, this small saw performs admirably. Although it is not as powerful as some of its competitors, it is significantly less expensive and still accomplishes the same tasks in a similar amount of time. I didn’t require the drill, but the combo kit was less expensive than purchasing the saw alone. The drill is reasonably accurate, but it has a longer trigger delay than I am accustomed to. The inclusion of a USB port on both the charger and the battery has proven to be a convenient feature. I ended up purchasing additional tools from the Skil 12v line as a result of my satisfaction with this saw for my intended use case. Everything has gone smoothly so far.
