I bought this saw for a small project to show off. The first time we used this saw, we only had to use it for 5 to 10 minutes. It worked great.

A Diablo Carbide blade was used to cut two holes in the stainless steel table the second time we used it on that day. It worked again. We were so excited about the saw that we couldn’t stop talking about it.
It was 30 minutes later when I went to pick up the saw to make the 3rd cut. The saw didn’t have any life left in it. It was dead.
It didn’t work. We tried everything I could think of to find the problem, but we didn’t find anything. It turns out that I had to drive to the local HD and buy a DVD there.
Dewalt’s 12amp saw costs $89.99 to finish the job, and it will do it well enough.
At home later that day, the saw still didn’t work. I called SKIL customer service to let them know what was going on, but the person on the other end was not very helpful.
The good news is that I can return it to Amazon for a small amount of money.
