As far as I can tell, the build quality is good for the low price that it comes at (3 generous stars). However, this is one of the least powerful 18v/20v sds-plus rotary hammers on the market. It could be good for light-duty work. Manufacturers say the rotary hammer can cut 7/16″ into concrete, which is the smallest number I’ve seen for an 18v/20v system. It has a very low rated impact force, too (.7 ft.lb.). The rotary hammer also doesn’t have a “hammer only” mode like most other hammers do, but this isn’t the case with this one. However, it does accept hex bits and sds-plus. A different brand costs $40 more than the one I already had, but I wanted more power, the ability to use it as a chisel in hammer-only mode, and the ability to use it as a chisel in hammer-only mode. So, even though it costs less, I think it’s better to spend a little more for a more powerful tool.
