Buy Skil RH1704-1A PWRCore 20 Brushless 20V 7/8

Longer run time and battery life are achieved through the use of industry-leading PWRCore 20 lithium battery technology, which wraps each cell in cooling material to keep the battery running for 25 percent longer run time and 2X longer battery life than conventional lithium-ion batteries.

IN 5 MINUTES—Automatic PWRJump fully charges the battery in just 5 minutes, and the battery is fully charged in 60 minutes when using the battery charge indicator on the device.

If you’re drilling through tough surfaces such as brick, concrete, or any other type of masonry, a digital brushless motor can help you get the job done quickly and efficiently.

Four-mode selector—Transition between drill, hammer drill, chisel, and chisel alignment settings in a matter of seconds, allowing you to work faster and more efficiently.

QUICK BIT CHANGES—The SDS Plus Chuck allows for quick and secure bit changes, allowing you to keep your project moving forward without interruption.

When used at 0-1400 RPM and 0-4500 IPM, the digital brushless motor provides the power needed to quickly hammer through tough materials such as brick, stucco, and concrete with minimal effort. Transitions between hammer drill, drill, chisel, and chisel alignment modes are seamless, saving you time and increasing your efficiency, while the PWRCore 20 Lithium Battery and Automatic PWRJump Charger keep your SDS hammer drill powered up for longer periods of time.

My goal in purchasing this item was to drill several 7/16″ diameter holes in a concrete drive way. I had attempted to drill these with my Milwaukee 12vdc hammer drill at first, but failed miserably. However, after only being able to partially drill one hole with all three of my fully charged batteries, I decided to purchase the Skil hammer drill instead. I was able to quickly drill 24 holes while still maintaining more than 80% of my battery’s charging capacity. I purchased a Keyless chuck with an SDS adapter in order to be able to use this tool as a standard 1/2″ drill with no modifications. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good do-it-yourself tool.
