Buy 15 Amp 7-1/4 In. Magnesium Sidewinder Circular Saw with Brake SKILSAW SPT67WMB-01

An all-magnesium circular saw with a good balance and long lif.

Using electric brakes on the jobsite to speed up productivit.

Powerful 15-Amp Dual-Field motor that doesn’t get hot even when cutting for a long time at once.

It has a bevel range of 56 degrees, with bevel stops at 0 and 45 degrees.

For a clear line of sight, the dust blower is built in.

People who own the SKIL SIDEWINDERTM are the only ones who can use a convenience brake and a magnesium housing. The electric brake stops the blade quickly so you can start cutting again right away, making you more productive. At the same time, the magnesium motor housing keeps the motor cool so it can keep up with your cutting for a long time. Legendary SKIL worm drive technology has been used in this SIDEWINDERTM Skilsaw with our best-in-class Dual-FieldTM Motor to make it reliable and durable. Adding a brake and cutting at a 56-degree angle will make you almost impossible to stop.

The circular saw is still the most important power tool for everyone from professional framers to people who do their own home repairs. You can’t live without it. Skilsaw is the name of a brand of circular saws. There are a lot of other Skilsaw want tobes flooding the market with cheap power tools, though.

It was after I looked at all the information about the new Skilsaw that I made the decision to buy one of them. It has all the features that make Skilsaw what it is. I couldn’t be happier with this saw.

One thing that makes this car great is that it has a lot of magnesium alloy in the motor, chassis, and bottom plate. The weight savings are real, and the saw’s cast magnesium sole-plate makes it even more stable. Every person who knows how to use a circular saw knows how important a strong saw chassis is to being able to cut a straight line. This saw is light but very strong. Also, because the saw is lighter, it can be used to cut things up high with ease. The original Skilsaw worm-drive has a lot of weight, which makes cutting things that are high up hard. With this new sidewinder and its powerful motor, it can do everything a worm-drive saw can and more.

Even the saw brake looks good. Other brands of saws (like Makita and Dewatt) have very quick and abrupt braking actions. When you let go of the trigger on these other brands, the whole saw moves and jerks because of the inertia and centrifugal force. To me, the brake being a safety feature is very dangerous for framers who use it on a construction site that is high above the ground. This Skilsaw has a different way to brake. Somebody thought a lot about it and came up with a soft brake. Yes, it takes a little longer to stop the blade, but the brake softly and gradually slows down the blade in about two seconds. When you let go of the trigger, the saw moves quickly in your hands, but this braking action helps to smooth that out.

There isn’t any flex in the sole plate. During the tests, I set the blade to its highest point with the saw way above its footprint. I then cut a piece of wood while pressing down on the handle as I cut it. It didn’t move at all. It cuts straight and true.

Does this saw come from China. However, this saw doesn’t have any cheap parts. Copper and brass are used to make the spring-loaded harness. I even took off the brush caps to look at the spring-loaded harness. Compared to other saws in this price range, this one is just a little better. It has all the same qualities and features, but the saw is just a little better than the rest. It makes you wonder how the other big-name brands can charge the same prices and give us inferior products that are also made in China. That tells me where the corporate executives were making money by squeezing their supply chain, and the consumer paid for poor products. The old adage “you get what you pay for” makes sense. Because Skilsaw did it right in this case, thoug. A cheap circular saw isn’t going to be as good as this one, but because the company isn’t going to rip off its suppliers, you get the high-quality product shown in this saw.

There were no bad things about this saw for me. In the box, everything is in the right place. The saw blade is aligned with the sole plate. At 90 degrees, it’s dead square, so don’t worry about it. There aren’t any painted markings on the saw. All the markings are engraved, not painted. It comes with a 24-tooth blade, but not a case or a guide for cutting. Honestly, I like it this way because I’m getting high-quality items instead of all the cheap ones together.

This is a new model from Skilsaw, and only time will tell if it will last for a long time. However, the first time I used it, I gave it a thumbs up. I can say for sure that no circular saw at this price point could match this one. In fact, right now, at any price point, even the European exotics aren’t out of the question.

For people who want value, Skilsaw also makes a saw that doesn’t have an electric brake. In every way, the model SPT67WM-22 is the same as this saw, except for one thing: It doesn’t have a brake. A circular saw with electric brakes and without electric brakes both have good and bad things to say about them. People who are used to saws that don’t have a braking mechanism tend to always wait for the saw to stop before cutting again. Some people will start cutting again right away because they are used to the brakes. However, I almost got hit by the blade when I thought it had stopped. I didn’t know that the electrical brake was broken, which happens when the brushes wear out. I tried to lift the guard for a plunge cut while the blade was still moving. It’s true that in a very rare case, the brakes could fail, which could make you think you were safe. If you don’t need to use the brakes, the SPT67WM-22 is a great deal for people who don’t mind not having them.
