If you’re thinking about getting this saw, I think you should download the user manual from Skilsaw’s website to see how it works. In there, there was a lot of detailed information that convinced me to buy this saw. For example, it can use a dado blade, which the 8.25 can’t. This saw doesn’t let us down at all.
A square blade and fence came from the box. This is how it looked: The fence measurement guide was off by 1/16 of an inch “, but can be easily changed. The riving knife was right on the money, too. The 45 and 90 degree stops on the blades were dead on the money, too.
To make my first cut, I switched out the blade for a blade with 40 teeth called Diablo (one of the blades Skilsaw recommends). In other words, everything else looks and feels good. In this case, everything is safe and sound on the boat. The guards are easy to put on and take off. When you need a push stick, it’s right there on the front.
Because it’s not the same color as my Dewalt miter saw, but it’s still in the same league. Definitely worth it.
