Product reviews are usually something I don’t have time for. This time, though, I had to write about it. The drill was in good shape when I got it. It was easy to set up right out of the box. You’re going to love this little drill. This is what I wanted to do: I wanted to do some light drilling of soft wood. The drill worked well for the first 30 minutes. It didn’t work so well after that. Anyhow, I wasn’t going over the top with it in any way. From the start, I thought the rack that moves the drill head up and down was a little rough. I didn’t expect perfection from a machine like this. After drilling a 5/8″ hole in poplar, a bolt on the drill came loose. The spring of the drill head didn’t work, so it didn’t move. The plastic cover on the drill also came off. No idea where the missing piece went or what broke off, but one minute it was drilling well and the next minute it blew up on me and the cover came off. I don’t know what caused it. A bigger box would have to be found to fit the drill, but I don’t have time for that. So, I threw it in the trash. The lesson was learned. Don’t buy cheap things. If you buy this drill based on other reviews, just know that at best, the drill has a 50% chance of working for you. Poor chances in my book. If you need a small drill to do work with, you’ll have to pay for a good one. I don’t think you should buy this drill.
