When the package arrived, it was well-wrapped and heavily oiled. The spindle isn’t smooth and it gets stuck once per revolution, so you have to push it. Obviously, it couldn’t be used in that condition. Even if you took it apart, there was no way to fix it without machining. As a shame, because for $25, it looks like a good deal. It’s clear that there wasn’t any quality control on this vice. I’ve since seen a similar complaint about another size of this vice. Returned.
